Dog Parks Near Stuart, FL
Nothing beats getting the pup out for a romp at the dog park! We at Bonjour Car and Dog Wash enjoy wearing the dog out on a weekend morning or weekday evening followed by a nice bath at our self-serve dog wash. We’re lucky to live in such a beautiful area and have a number of dog friendly spots for the pup to socialize and exercise at. We’ve put together this list of some of our favorites. 1. Poppleton Creek Dog Park – 0.9 miles from Bonjour Dog Wash
Poppleton Creek is a great little spot less than a mile away from Bonjour Car and Dog Wash. It has off leash areas for both large and small dogs. There are pavilions, picnic tables, bathrooms, and always a friendly bunch in our experience. The City of Stuart describes it as such on their website: “This community park is a trailhead for a self-guided tour of rare and endangered habitats such as sand pine scrub, scrub flatwoods, and wetlands including the storm water treatment lake and Poppleton Creek Tidal floodplain.”

2. Haney Creek Dog Park – 4.3 miles from Bonjour Dog Wash
Haney Creek Dog Park is a cute and quiet park on the north side of Stuart. Follow the signs to the dog park and you’ll be greeted by two fenced, off-leash, areas for the dogs to let loose. One area is for big dogs 30lbs and up and one is for little dogs under 30lbs. There’s a water hose available for the dogs and some shady spots for the dog-parents to relax. According to The City of Stuart, “The Haney Creek Project consists of approximately 157.15 acres of publicly-owned native uplands and wetlands within the Haney Creek Watershed. In addition to improving water quality in the St. Lucie Estuary, the Haney Creek Project also provides a 2.0 mile nature walk set among several distinct South Florida ecosystems.”

3. McChesney Dog Park – 15 miles from Bonjour Dog Wash
McChesney Dog Park is unique in that it has 3 separate dog size areas. It’s not a huge park but the specialized areas for small, medium, and large dogs seems to work out well. This is a great place for you and your pup to socialize when you’re a little more northwest of the general Stuart area. Water stations and shady seating aplenty!

4. Walton Rocks Beach/Dog Park - 15 miles from Bonjour Dog Wash
24 Acres of beautiful beach for you and your dog to enjoy together! Bring plenty of water because your fur baby is going to want to stay awhile! A gem in our area; bring your dog to fish, swim, sun-bathe, and play fetch together. Showers, restrooms, gazebos available but no shade on the beach so bring an umbrella for the pup to catch their breath between catching waves.

5. Jupiter Dog Beach – 22 Miles from Bonjour Dog Wash
Jupiter Dog Beach is not around the corner but is doggone world famous and only 30 minutes to the south. Dogs can frolic leash free for a 2.5-mile stretch that goes from Carlin Park south to Juno Beach. It’s recommended to park along the road and near one of the showers if you can. Our favorite stretch is shower 28 to 52. There are also doggie poop bags available at each shower station along this stretch. The Doggo will thank you for the big trip here but will definitely need a bath!
